CAMP FIRE CONCERT.

TOWN HALE, SATURDAY NIGHT

The N.Z. Army Medical Corps whose permanent headquarters are at Awapuni, will march to the Foxton racecourse on Iriday next tor manoeuvres. On Saturday night they will entertain the local public, at a camp fire concert. Lieut. Nimmo was in Foxton yesterday making preliminary arrangements with the Mayor. In conversation with our representative, Lieut. Ninuuo stated lhat (he corps was raising funds for a camp orchestra, and the concert on Saturday night will be in aid of that object. The whole programme, except for some special naval and military picture films, will be provided by the corps, which includes some really first class talent. The corps will be accompanied by its pipe band, which will enliven townspeople with selections. Lieut. Nimmo said I he corps will be pleased to receive gifts of musical instruments from the modest jews harp to a grand piano. Instruments of any Mn,l ..r rep:' : > - w’!l be acceptable, as included in the corps are men qualified to put them in order. All gifts will be publicly acknowledged. it is anticipated that Sur-geon-General Henderson will be in attendance. A real novel and versatile musical treat is in store for the Foxton public, and we have no doubt that the entertainers will be greeted by a bumper house. The admission charges will be 2s and Is.

Lieut. Nimmo desires us to publicly thank Mr Knewstub for placing the hall at the disposal oi the corps on Saturday evening.
