AN ANTI-VERMIN RECIPE.
.HINT FOR SOLDIERS
Surgeon-<lencral Henderson, Dir-ector-General of Medical Services, forwards the following recipe of a vermin - preventative recommended a»y Dr. Loir, of the Havre Museum: Small sachets, l-l in. in size, are worn under the (dotlies, and tilled with the following powder:—
Nnpthalene, 1 part; camphor, 1 part'; benzine, enough 1" reduce the preceding to powder; sawdust, 3 parts. The sachets might he provided with a safety-pin for fastening to body bells or inside the shirt. Tins method is advocated by Dr. Loir, of the Havre Museum, and promulgated by the War Olhce as an effectual preventative of vermin on the hodv.
