BOWLING.
On Saturday, for the ( second time this season, a rink from the local club visited Feilding to endeavour to wrest the Manson and Barr Cup from the holders, and were again unsuccessful, the home team winning by a margin of 12 points. The holders started off very well, .putting on a seven on the first head, and three on the second, and after five heads had been played the score cards read: Feilding 16, Foxton 0, From this stage, onwards the visitors held their own, but were only able to catch up four on their opponents’ lead, Feilding scored on eleven heads, and Foxton on ten. The following are the teams and scores; — Feilding. Foxton, Mills D. Whibley Firani Hawke Worsfold Nye Bartholomew F. Whibley (s) 30 ' (s) 18 On the local green to-morrow afternoon two challenge matches will be played, Levin sending over a rink to play the holders of the Kinniburgh Feathers, and Harris (Terrace End) is bringing a rink down to try conclusions with the Gold Stars holders.
