SHOCKING ACCIDENT.
MAX CUT TO PI EG EG UNDER TRAIN. Wanganui, Jan. 10. A middle-aged man, whose identity is at present unknown, met his death at Aramoho railway station lute this afternoon under tragic circumstances. Deceased was a passenger on the Wellington train to New Plymouth, and was seated in a carriage which was shunted off and attached to the Wanganui train. As this train commenced to leave, deceased evidently realised he was in the wrong train, and endeavoured to jump oft, with the result that he fell beneath the wheels of the carnage, his body being shockingly mutilated, and the head almost severed. Deceased was apparently about sixty years of age, and had in his pocket a return ticket to Thorn dun issued at Inglewood on January 2nd.
