BOWLING.
The Manawatn Bowling’ Centre's annual tournament will he played on (he Feilding green on January Ist and 2nd, In addition to the Centre Banner the winners will also ho entitled to hold (he Stansell Challenge Shield, presented by Mr J. R. Stansell, of Lyall Bay, Wellington, in memory of his son, the late Major L. B. Stansell, who was killed in action in France. The tournament is open only to clubs in the Manawatu Centre. Foxton will be represented by two rinks.
A challenge by a rink to bo shaped by Hburner !ms been sent to the Dixon Cup holders, a rink skipped by J, A. Nash, ami the match is third on the list of challenges. Shannon and Maslerton being the next two to he played.
