Mr Armstrong, the District Traffic Manager, fiviee A’isited Foxton and discussed the proposed alterations Avith Councillors. Li the meantime the Palmerston Chamber of Commerce, ever Avatclifui for Palmerston interests, took exception to some ol the proposals, and depulationised the Palmerston S.M. on the subject, 'flic outcome of the agitation concedes A’Ci'v little to Foxton. There is no speeding-up —in fact more time is allowed for shunting on the journey, while the early Monday morning train aGII continue—for what reason heaven alone knows.
