TOWN CLERKS REPORT.
The* Town Clerk’s report ns under was read and adopted at last nighl's Couueil meeting:— “During I he past month the road staff has been engaged on the following works, viz., spreading melal in Dark and Union Streets, re-tarring Main Street, and ordinary maintenance work, and it is intended to proceed with I lie same works during the present month. Air .]. Darker has been taken from the Gas Works stall; to assist in the tarring of Alain Street and to avoid the necessity of dumping the gravel into the Borough yard as it is received from the railway, thus incurring double cartage. I would like to draw the attention of the Council to the fact that the Librarian's dwelling is only provided with one water tank, and that has to provide also for the office. I would recommend that nt least one other tank be installed and if possible, that one be attached to the wash-house.
