WEDDING.

HEBDITCH—COLEY. A wedding which created a good deal of local interest was celebrated in All Saints' Church on Saturday last, at I p.m. The contracting parties were Sergt.-Major Hobditch, of (ho permanent staff, Tren(ham, and Nellie Hester Emily, youngest daughter of Mr and Airs Geo. Coley, two of Eoxton’s oldest residents. The ceremony was performed by Ihe Rev. W. Raine, vicar of All Saints’. Miss Betty presided at the organ. The bride was charmingly attired in a military gabardine cost nine and pink hat, and carried a pretty bouquet of pale pink roses. Miss Rita Oliver, of Wanganui (cousin of the bride) officiated as bridesmaid, and wore a green garhardiue costume, with grey Dolly Warden hat daintily trimmed with cerise, and carried a shower bouquet of cream roses. Sergt .-Major Shanks was groomsman. The bride was “given away” by her In-other, Mr James Coley. The bride’s mol her was handsomely attired in a black silk robe, with smart hal trimmed with ostrich leathers to match. The bridegroom’s mother, of Wanganui, wore a navy tailored costume, with neat black hat. Airs G. Oliver, of AYanganui, wore a navy tailored costume, with Pnrisien model of white silk with daisy and corn ,trimming. Among the guests were Airs L. Freeman, of Foxton, Airs F. Gardes, of Foxton, Airs S. Coley, of Upper Huff, Airs L. DufTiti, of Ilimatangi. The party and guests were subsequently entertained at hreakfasi at Perrean’s rooms, where the usual toasts were honoured. The hriday party motored to Shannon to catch the Auckland Express. The presents were numerous and costly, including several dieAlessrs A. S. Patterson, of Wellington, one from the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., Palmerston North, and a handsome cheque from tint bride's parents. Air and Airs liebditcli will spend (heir honeymoon at Auckland.
