CENSUS RETURNS.
LEVIN. The census retuxms for the borough of Levin are; Males, 769; females, 861; total, 1,630. Levin’s population at the census of 1911 was 1,608, therefore the borough shows an increase in population of 22. OTAKI. The census returns for Otaki disclose a population, including 35 Chinamen, but exclusive of Maoris, as 811, as against an estimated population of 763 last year. SHANNON. The population of Shannon is 1,055. The population in 1911 was 752; this is an increase of 303. The census returns for Foxton are not yet complete, owing to a number of returns not yet to hand. We hope to be able to publish the complete returns this week.
