“OUR PICTURES.” To-morrow night a special holiday programme will be screened, headed by the beautiful Shubert production, “The Butterfly on the Wheel,” featuring Holbrook Blinu and Vivian Martin. Briefly, the story is as follows; —Peggy Admaston and her husband are wealthy, and should be happy, but after the honeymoon Admaston neglects his beautiful young wife for Hie cares of business. The result is that the wife is left to amuse herself as best she can, and becomes a gay butterfly. The social season throws Peggy much iu Hie society of Collingwood, “a friend of the family,” and matters progress until each day brings new protestations of love from Collingwood, to which Peggy listens .unwillingly. Matters do not improve, and eventually Admaston sues for divorce, and there is every assurance that he will win his case. Oil the night before Hie case is to go to the jury Lady Atwell confesses that her secret love for Aduiaston templed her to urge Colliugwood mi to compromise Peggy, ami that it was she who arranged their meeting at Hie inn. The supporting items include (epical, scenic, and comedy films, making up a really fine programme.

“GABIRIA”—SATURDAY. On Saturday, “Gabiria,” the mightiest: motion picture ever conceived in Hie brain of man, will be screened. According to the Melbourne Age, “Qou Vadis,” Cleopatra,” and “Last Days of Pompeii,” which created such favourable impressions, pale into insignificance before “Gabiria,” which is undoubtedly the greatest picture yet screened. Local picture-goers should not miss the opportunity of seeing this film.
