A proud record is that of I ho family of Ah’ W, B. Blenm*rhasse(t, farmer, of Mafamata, who has (1 v<* sons who have donned klniki. Sergeant Brian und Corpnrul Norman Pdennerlmsset (, of the Auckland Mounted Hides, were hotJi wounded on August Oil., l!Uo, ul Gallipoli, and have returned to the Dominion. Bombardier William Blennerhasseit. has been lighting in Franee since April last, having previously spent some months in Egypt. Sergeant Holand Bleunerlmssett recently went to the front. The other brother, Ton], who is a gunnel 1 , has been in tripping at Feat her,stop for the past three ipopths, fUr E. K. Samuel, of Eden Termce, Auckland, who wait himself on active service in the Boor witr, bps four brothers now serving their country. Lieutenant-Colonel A. M. Samuel, who went away in command of one of the reinforcement drafts, is one brother, and Sergeant Victor Samuel, who was wounded in Gallipoli, is another. The latter, who was laid up for only three weeks after being wounded, is now at the front in Franee. Private Jack Samuel, who is now in hospital in England, was wounded twice in Franee. Gunner Fred Norpp.p Samuel wan invalided home from Egypt, and is no>y fillipg a position in the Defence Department. Lieutenant: - ColopeJ Samuel and Private -lack Samuel served in South Africa as members of the New Zealand force. .\fv E. K. Samuel, who is now ineligible for active service, also served in the Smith African Scouts in the same war. The live brothers are alt natives of the Wellington district. Their
father died during the Boer Avar, and their mother died quite reeent-
Private S. A. R. Taylor, eldest son of Mr C. M. Taylor, of Otorohanga, Avho died in France on September 28th, from avoutuls received in action, was one, of three brothers Avho luiA'e taken part in the Avar. One brother is mnv in the tiring line and another is in tho navy. Tho late Private Taylor, prior to enlisting, Avas employed in the raihvay engine sheds at Frankton and Cambridge.
