ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Pahiatua, Yesterday.
Air William D. Kemp, farmer, one of the victims of the recent motor accident near W oodville, died last night in the Pahiatua Hospital. Mr Kemp, who was driving the cur at. the time of the accident, had his skull fractured when tnc car capsized. lie was a single man, aged thirty-one, and sou of Hr Daniel Kemp, a well-known settler at Kumeroa.
Christchurch, Yesterday
James Daniels, a miner, aged forty, resident at Kaitangata, but who had been living in Lyttelton for the past few weeks, was hit by a truck at a railway crossing this morning. His head got under the wheels. He was shockingly mangled, being killed instantly. At the inquest the evidence showed that Daniels' threw himself deliberately in front of the moving truck. A verdict of suicide was returned.
