yesterday afternoon a three-rink mat eh was played <m the local green between teams representing I lie Druids in this district and (lie local (Tub. The weather was perfect, and the green played well. The Druids’ team included members of 1 he* Shannon, Levin and Foxton (’bibs, A rink was also expected from Ota Id, but as several rinks from Ihe Unit Glui) visited Otaki yesterday all the available players were required on llieir own green, and could not make the trip to Poxton. Two games of fifteen heads each were played by each rink, and the result: was a win for Ihe Druids by S 8 points to 81. Whibley) thanked (he visilors I'or llieir attendance, and congratulated them on llieir win. Mr J. MeJ.nlyre, on behalf <M the Druids, sail! that the afternoon had been very enjoyable, and they very much appreciated (lie hospitable manner in which they had been treated. He mentioned that it was (lie intent ion of the Levin Club to pay a visit to Foxton in the near future, when they would probably send over three or four rinks.
