COMBINED DISTRICT EFFORT
A body of women known as the Town and Country Patriotic Women Workers, has undertaken the whole of the catering at the Manawatu Spring Show, the proceeds to be in aid of the Sick and Wounded Fund. Numerous country districts arc joining in, and it has been decided that each district helping with donations of food and money shall participate in the funds. A representative gentleman from each of these districts will be invited to be present, when the allocation of these funds takes place. All canvassers are expected to leave complete lists of donations with thesecretary, Mrs W. J. It is obvious, therefore, that the larger the donations the.more there will be for each individual district. The undermentioned ladies have undertaken to canvass Foxton district, and we trust (hey will mbet with a good response: —Mesdames Fraser, James Barber, F. Robinson, Kerr-Hislop, Auslin-Johnston, James Robinson, Gower, Hawke, A. Ross, F. Procter, Baker, Miss J. Ross.
