FIGHTING MEN FIRST.

APPEAL TO LADIES. (To the Editor.) Ladies. —Many of our brave soldier lads arc returning, and will only be able to take up light employment. Will you help them all you can to get started again in civil life and make light employment for them. You are the chief shoppers. May we ask you to patronise businesses who reinstate their men or employ returned soldiers? You can create a lot of light employment by trying to buy the goods made in New Zealand and asking manufacturers to give preference to returned soldiers, and you can also help our returned soldiers throughout the Empire by insisting on buying goods made within the Empire. Please help all you can our soldiers who have proved themselves worthy of our best, endeavours. N.Z. NATIONAL SERVICE LEAGUE.
