FIRE AT INVERCARGILL.
Invercargill, Sept. 18. A fire occurred at 4 o’clock on Sunday morning in the shop of Alex. Rodie, draper] in the Grand Hotel buildings. The brigade succeeded in confining the flames to the shop. The damage to the stock is estimated at £2,500 and to the building £IOOO. Rodie was insured for £1,925.
