FOXTON LADIES’ GUILD.

MRS. LUKE TO VISIT EOXTON. Wo live asked by the Eoxton Ladies' Patriotic Guild to announce that Mrs Luke, Mayoress of ’Wellington, and one of the Dominion’s leading workers in ail patriotic movements for the relief and comfort of our sick and wounded soldiers and sailors, will visit Eoxton at an early dale, for the purpose of meeting the Eoxton womenfolk and explaining what is being done by the various women’s organisations in the Wellington military district and talking mailers oven 1 with Ihem regarding .future operations. It is hoped that all local women who can make it convenient will attend, also, by the way, “.Subscriber'’ and any others who seek enlightenment as (o the expenditure of funds on behalf of the various organisations. The visit should stimulate local effort, although the Eoxton guilds have done as well, if not better - , than any centre of equal population in the Dominion. The Ladies’ Guild on the occasion of Mrs Luke's visit intend to dispense afternoon lea, and there will be a silver coin admission. All ladies willing to contribute cakes, sandwiches, etc., are asked to communicate with Miss Loss. The dale of Mrs Luke’s visit will be announced in a later issue. The collection will be in aid of the Christmas Gift Fund.
