HAWKE’S BAY ESTATE SOLD

Two .Palmerston i\orth farmers have concluded a, laud deal at a price running well over six Jigures, with Herrick Bros, for their property, the Oporae estate, 25 miles from Ihiuuevirke. The estate consists of 0,000 acres on which are live homesteads. It is completely equipped and is stocked with 10,000 sheep and 000 cattle. A Loudon syndicate invested £IOO,OOO in oil huring on the property, hut the work was temporarily suspended owing to the war. The property was originally cut up and sold by the Government in small blocks, being then all in heavy bush soon became aggregated. The land is now eminently suitable for close settlement.
