Air Bruce was first elected in 1914, but has been chairman of the Wanganui School Committee and of (he School Committees' Association for many years. As 29 members of the committees signed a requisition to Mr Pirani to stand, and one of the committeemen's votes was not received, it; would seem that, contrary to the usual experienee at elections, all those who asked him to stand and recorded their voles, fulfilled their obligations to the letter.
