Harold Smith, solicitor, who contested the Pahiatua seat in ISO!), has been approached to stand as the Reform candidate, and has consented subject to being satisfied that it is the general wish of the electors. Air R. B. Ross, ex-mem-ber, says he has delinitely decided to come out as an Independent candidate.
