EARLY CLOSING.
AN ABORTIVE CONFERENCE,
There was another conference yesterday between ad\'oeates in the House of early closing for hotels and the opponents of limitation. Nothing was effected, but another meeting may possibly he held. It is stated nc»AV, says the Post, that some advocates of early closing would accept 9 o’clock as a compromise, hut the opposition lias lately set its face against even this concession, apparently considering that it can retain existing conditions.
