CASEY COMMITTED TO SUP-

REME COURT.

Christchurch, -July 21

The soldier Michael Casey, charged with the murder of Frederick Allen in a street quarrel recently, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.

Mr Cassidy, for accused, who is a. member of the 10th Reinforcements, asked the Bench to reduce the charge to manslaughter, hut this was refused.
