JUNE WORKING.
During the month of June the quantity of gas manufactured at the local* works Avas 512,100 ft., which, with the amount in the holder on June Ist, 4,000 ft., made a total of 510,(i00ft. The amount sold to consumers for lighting avus 200,20011., for cooking and heating 150,200(1., for poAver 78,700 ft., used in street lamps 25,500 ft., used at works 23,000 ft., and there avus 3,000 ft. in the holder on July Ist. leaving 21,000 ft., representing 4.[ per cent, of the output, unaccounted for. Forty-three and a-half tons of coal was carbonised, yielding 11,800 ft. per ton.
