THE VALLANCE TRIGGE MISSION.

The Rev. Vallanee Trigg.', of Melbourne, commenced his mission in the local Methodist Church on Sunday last. Splendid congregations as.-einbled, the evening service especially so. The subject of the morning discourse was ■'•The Power and Presence of the Spirit of God in the Life,’’ which proved most helpful and uplifting. In the evening an eloquent address was given on ‘‘The Cry of Wounded Love.” A good congregation assembled again last night, when a passionate address was delivered on “A Crisis in the Life' of Felix.” Impressions were made, and convictions were apparent, and the desire for a better life inspired. A strong choir is leading Die singing, which is already a

special feature of the services. The missioner commences his meetings with a song service from 7.30 to 7.45, which is most heartily rendered. Now that the mission is in full

swing it is anticipated that the church will be crowded every night lo bear this gifted and consecrated evangelist. An intercession service on behalf of the success of the mission and ihose stricken in the great war will be held daily in the church from 12 noon to 12.30 pan. Mr Trig'ge will speak to-night on ‘•The Elder Brother."
