JUNE WORKING.
During the month of June the quantity of gas manufactured at the local works was 512,100 ft., which, with the amount in the holder on June Ist, 4,500 ft., made a total of 51fi,(»00ft. The amount sold to consumer’s for lighting was 200,200 ft., for cooking and heating .15!),200ft., for power 78,700 ft., used in street lamps 25,500 ft., used at works 23,000 ft., and there was 3,000 ft. in the holder on July Ist, leaving 21,000 ft., representing 4.} per cent, of the output, unaccounted for. Porty-three and a-half tons of coal was carbonised, yielding 11,800 ft. per ton.
