SCHOOL FAIR.
excellent progress is being' made in cunnecSion with the School Fair in aid of (lie dependants of those who fell in the .Jutland Rattle. The parents and children are responding liberally, and already youthful canvassers have done good business. It is intended to arrange for a plain and fancy stall, a flower and sweets stall, and a produce stall. Many interesting and novel competitions have been planned. An excellent combined orchestra will contribute selections at intervals, while the local Rand has also consented to enliven the proceedings. Choruses, part songs, and drill items by the pupils will also be an attractive feature. Parents will have an excellent opportunity of seeing the work done in the various classes, No charge is being made for admission, as it is expected that the public will respond liberally for such a deserv- j mg cause. The teaching staff would be pleased to receive donations of refreshments for the tea room. s
