TOWN CLERK’S REPORT.

'flic Town Clerk reported at last night’s Council meeting as under: — “I beg to report as follows: — During the month of June the road staff has been engaged on the undermentioned works, viz., metalling Avenue 11 oad, Purcell Street and Sandon Road, grubbing lupins and repairing fences in Victoria Park, erecting fence and gate to rubbish depot, also on ordinary maintenance work. Approximately 168 yards of metal was spread on the above roads in June, and it is the intention of the foreman to complete the metalling of Avenue and -Moutea Roads during the present month.”
