MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

The local Clerk of the Court, Mr F. Woods, has supplied the following returns of the business transacted at the. Magistrate’s Court for the quarter ended June 30th, 1910. Three sittings were presided over by the Magistrate, and three by Justices. CIVIL. The total amount sued for was £l3l 4s Id, and the amount recovered £B7 15s 7d. Sixteen plaints were entered, and four judgment summonses, and three distress warrants were issued. The amount of fees paid in stamps was £7 Is Od. CRIMINAL. Sixteen persons were apprehended or summoned. One case was dismissed for want, of proseciition, one dismissed on (he merits, two persons were convicted and discharged, ten were lined, and two were admitted under the Probation Act. The lines and fees amounted to £3O Os Od. OLD ACE I'EXSbVXS. (hie old age pension was granted.
