THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COAIAHSSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled on Tuesday night as follows ; The hemp market is quiet but steady. Manila supply meets the demand, hut though large shipments are expected a scarcity of other sorts maintains prices. Government graded fair Alanila, per ion £53 10s ; coarse, £sl. New Zealand good fair, £4.0 10s ; fair, £47 10s. June-August, Government graded fair Alanila, £53 ; coarse, £SO. New Zealand good fair, £4B ; high point lair, £47 ; fair, £46. The output of hemp til Alanila for the week ending last Saturday was 27,000 bales.
