FULLER’S PICTURES.
“THE MILLION DOLLAR MYSTERY.” The concluding episode of the “Million Dollar Mystery” was responsible for a record attendance at the Town Hall last night. The supporting items are of an exceptionally interesting nature, and constitute a tip-top programme, which will be repeated to-night. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. Another star feature will be presented on Friday and Saturday, “Gretna Green,” headed by the irresistable Margurite Clark. This dainty and fascinating stage and screen favourite is certain to add appreciably to her astounding jtopularity in the Famous Players Film Company’s four-part, picturisation of the celebrated comedy romance, “Gretna Green,” by Grace Livingstone Furniss. Miss Clark’s winsome personality, her piquant beauty and elfin grace assist her in making the role of Dolly one of her greatest creations. The romance and humour of “Gretna Green” have thrilled and amused countless audiences as a play, and the screen version of this noted subject, with the amplifications of the plot and the authentic reproduction of the famous green, made possible only through the film production, enhance the general interest and appeal of the story, while the striking and unique costumes of the period conrribute to the total charm of the picture. The supporting items are : “Special War Topical” ; “The Forecast,” drama ; “The Topical Budget” ; “When Love Took Wings,” a Keystone comedy. BAKER BROS.’ CIRCUS. On Saturday night Baker Bros.’ Circus, which is making its annual tour of the Dominion, will he in Foxton. The circus last year played here, and created a very good impression, and since then many additions have been made, and the show is one of the best that has loured the Dominion. Referring to their performance in Wanganui recently the Wanganui Herald says : Baker Bros, had a full tent last evening. The show itself proved to be a capital one in every respect, the performance right through being clean, bright, and clever, and the various performers were given un.-tinted applause for their efforts. Miss Barbarian Baker excelled herself in her Vire-walking exponents of the art. Professor lea lure was a splendid exhibition of the ju-jitsu style of wrestling by Mr Gardiner and Miss Le Mar, who both proved themselves very clever exponents of the act. Professor Cole's animals also caught the audience's fancy, and he demonstrated remarkably what a skilled trainer he is. The other performers all did excellent turns, while the outlaw, “Fireworks,” defied all efforts to ride him.
