CONFIRMATION SERVICE.

The rite of Confirmation was administered in All Saints' Church on Sunday afternoon by the Bishop of Wellington to fourteen candidates, presented by the victar, Rev. W. Biiine. The names of the candidates were : —Phyllis Bryant, Dulcie Hawke, Vera Crowe, Ivy Crowe, -Baggie Procter, Alison Creig, Olive Nye. Nellie Coley, Kathleen Barber, Stella Barber, Inez Spring. Winifred ilc Bidder. Mary Sewell and Jack Craiit. His Lordship delivered an c|iH(uent and inspiring address on 1. Timothy, vi... 12 : “Eight the good tight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whercunto thou art also called and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." The preacher fully explained the rite of continuation, and briefly referred in the life of Timothy, then elaborated the text in its application'to the candidates. His Lordship also preached at the morning and evening services, and on both occasions drew lessons from the Besiirreclion of our Lord applicable to presentday life. The sermons were remarkable for depth of learning, and were wonderful expositions of the truths contained in the Resurrection. There were large congregations on each occasion.
