Another shocking shooting fatality has been added to the already long list caused by the carelessness (if individuals leaving loaded (irearms within doors and in reach of children. A Westport paper records that a man hauled his gun with (In l intention of shooting a bank, tail subsequently went to attend to some farm affairs. hater he returned to (In l house and left the gun behind the door, and went olf to muster sheep. He unfortunately forgot to withdraw the cartridge. Two lads saw the gun there, and one, picking it, up, pulled the trigger, not knowing that the gun was loaded, it went off, and the bullet blew away the lower part of the other lad’s jaw, killing him instantly.
