There is little chance of any eligible single men of military age securing- a grant of land under the jurisdiction of the Land Board. This was made abundantly (dear at the meeting on Thursday, when several instances came before the Board in which applicants had staled that (hey had been rejected. In every such case the Board’s favourable decision was subject to the product ion of the necessary proof, in one case a transfer being agreed to if the applicant, a discharged soldier could show his discharge, .while another transfer was granted subject to the production of the medical certificate.
