SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The ordinary meeting of the local State School Committee was held on Tuesday night. Present : Messrs Hornblow (chairman), Rev. Bredin, Dr Mandl, Betty, Hussey, McAlurray, McColl, Perreau and Woods. The head teacher's and visitors’ reports were read and adopted. A subsidy of £1 !)s 3d was received from the Government as a subsidy on voluntary contributions for agricultural purposes, and will he expended on school gardens. Several minor repairs were authorised. It was decided to ask the Board to erect a pump and trough in the horse enclosure. The Chairman and Mr Hussey were appointed visitors for the month.
