BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer reported :ii last night’s Council meeting as follows :

I have the honour to report 1 h:>t the following amounts have been received during the past month and placed to credit as follows, viz : To district fund account £3BO 12s !Jd, and to cemetery account £3 17s (id. 'The credit balances at the Hank of Xew Zealand as per pass looks are: District fund account £303 9s 7d, and cemetery account £3 Ids 2d. The ledger balances of the various accounts are as follows ; —Gas works f21)6 Os 9d, reserves £132 18s l()d, sanitation £7l 11s (id, Council Chambers and Public Library loan £24 Bs, Town Hall £2l Os lOd, hospital and charitable aid £lB 4s 3d, Whirokino bridge loan £lO 7s lid, roads and streets loan Xo 2 £lO 17s 2d, gas works loan £5 Os lid, cemetery £3 Kis 2d, contractors’ deposits £3, roads and streets loan £2 17s 9d, Beach road loan £1 IDs ]od, Whirokino bridge additions loan 10s sd, Shannon bridge loan Os' Id, all in credit, a total of £OOO 3s sd.
