FULLER'S PICTURES

“The Valley of Tost Hope,” is the story of how a real estate swindler started a mining boom on some property he owned. Starting with a false assay purporting to have been obtained on his estate, he managed to start a gold rush. His son was placed in the position of receiver to the camp, and when he had received nearly all the miners’ money his father wrote him to meet him at a certain place, where a special train would be waiting. The son now knows it is a swindle, and tells him not to do it. In the meantime, the news is spread, and the miners start out for revenge. The result of their revenge is shown in a big train smash, which Is without doubt the finest example ever arranged for a camera. A full complement of supporting items constitute a tip top programme. MONDAY AND TUESDAY. The London Film Company presents a picture of Frank Danby’s great book, 5000 ft. of real London life, entitled, “The Heart of a Child.” This magnificent story by the eminent English author, Frank Dauby, is so wellwritten and picturised that it cannot fairly be measured by the ordinary standard. The narrative principally concerns the life of Sally Snape, a girl who in tender years was thrown on her own resources in mighty London. Through an accident caused by the unskilful driving of a motor car by a titled lady Sally becomes an inmate of a big hospital, and thence by easy stages to an East End music hall. The realistic scenes of Sally’s environment and the various phases of London life are outstanding features of a remarkable story. The supporting items are of a high standard.
