FULLER’S PICTURES. The invincible “Million Dollar Mystery” continues to draw big business at.the Town Hall, and the current programme apart from this special feature is a particularly good one. A film of special interest depicts the departure of the Bth Reinforcements from Wellington, and a full complement of scenic, dramatic, comedy and topical items. SATURDAY.
'On Saturday afternoon and evening another excellent programme will be screened, featuring as a star attraction the Majestic Go’s., Oriental drama, “Chinese Vengeance.” This is a quick-moving story in which the children of a white girl, who marries a Chinaman, are the chief characters. The head of a Chinese trading concern, to whom the girl appeals to save her from her father’s choice, marries the girl. The children of the marriage grow up to be handsome in a Chinese way. The son is managing a gambling den and kills a Chinese merchant who offers to buy his sister. The Chinaman who is killed belongs to a different “tong” to the other Chinese who swear vengeance. The son and the sister are captured and sentenced to torture. Her brother disguises himself, but he is discovered —but not before he releases his sister, who informs the police who arrive in time 10 prevent the son from being tortured. The Chinese who swore vengeance still nurse their revenge, but after a number of adventures the boy and girl manage to run away and fill In the rest of their days on their farm, which has been purchased Ipr them.
