PARLIAMENT.

. AN EARLY SESSION. Parliament will meet “lor the despatch of business” on Tuesday, 9th May. As already intimated, the Government legislative proposals will he chiefly concerned with the war, pensions, and finance. Some important amendments in the War Regulations Act will be proposed, giving the Government increased powers during the duration of the war. There will also, of course, be the Compulsory Service Bill. It is anticipated, says the Post, that from some quarters there will be considerable opposition, but the Government appears to be entirely hopeful of the measure reaching the Statute Book.
