CANADIAN WHEAT YIELD.
The total value of the field crops of Canada for 1915 is given as in a statement issued by the Department of Trade and Commerce., Revised figures with regard to the grain crops place the wheat yield at 376,303,600 bushels, as compared with 161,280,000 in 1914. The average yield of wheat was 28 98 bushels to the acre, compared with 15'67 in the previous year, and the report speaks of the yield as “the most abundant grain crop in the history of Canada.” The quality is higher than it has been in any of the last five years, and the price ten cents above the quinquennial average, though ten cents under the average of 1914 The value of the wheat crop amounted in money to over The three prairie provinces produced 342,948,600 bushels of wheat.
