The change of programme to be screened on Monday and Tuesday is of exceptional merit, the star item being, “Her Shattered Idol.” A young girl makes a hero of the village blacksmith, and declares she will marry no other. How she is weaned from her folly and how her heart comes back to her boy sweetheart forms the thread of an exceedingly interesting plot “Her Shattered Idol” is fairly alive with humour, and the scenes showing the lamentable efforts of thd blacksmith to shine in society are gems of mirth provoking comedy. One of the most unique situations ot all occurs in the heroine's dream, in which she is the prize for which two giant cave men battle to the death. Other items of interest: “The Dance of the Malays,” educational; “His Jungle Sweetheart,” drama ; “The Island of Ischia,” scenic; “Eatest European Gazette” : “Cartoons iq a Eauudry,” novel.
