FOURTEENTH REINFORCEMENTS.
SOUTHERN QUOTAS SHORT
Wklungton, Last Night,
The mobilisation of the Fourteenth Reinforcements will be completed to-morrow. The figures which have reached Defence Headquarters already show that the shortages are [considerable in both Canterbury and Otago. Auckland has done well, and is expected to have the full quota in camp by Sunday. Some additional men to fill the gaps are to arrive from the north to-morrow. Wellington is still short by about 40 men of its full quota.
