LONG MOTOR JOURNEY.
AUCKLAND TO THE BLUFF,
Among the visitors to Foxton yesterday afternoon were Mr Arthur Cleave, proprietor of the New Zealand Sporting and Dramatic Review and N,Z. Motor Journal, ot Auckland, Mr Rollings, secretary of the Campbell and Ehrenfreid Brewing Coy., of the Northern City, and- Mr T. W. Twist, of Wellington, who are on a motoring tour of the whole of New Zealand, They left Auckland eight days ago, and have visited Rotorua, Taupo, and Napier, and then through here, arriving as above. Mr Cleave travels iu his own car, a sixcylinder Daimler, and so far everything has been plain sailing. They proceeded through to Wellington later in the day. where the car will be shipped to Picton, from where they go on to Nelson and Motueka, and on to as far south as Ross on the West Coast. Then the road will take them through Kumara and over the Otira Gorge to Christchurch, and thence on to the Bluff, Picton, the Cold Lakes, Queenstown, Central Otago, and back to Picton via Rangiora. Kaiapoi, Kaikoura, Ward, Seddon. and Christchurch, and the car will be put on a steamer for Wellington. It may be mentioned that Mr Cleave and Mr Twist carried out a similar trip last year, when some thousands of miles were covered without any mishap whatever.
