ENTERTAINMENTS.

FUEEER’S PICTURES. “THE EURE OF THE CIRCUS.” The programme to be screened at the Town Hall this evening is notable for the star feature, a Nordisk drama, entitled “The Eure of the Circus.” An author, Charles Barley, is attracted by a star circus rider, and leaves his wife and son to be a slave to the circus woman’s charms. His wife retires to her parents in the country. The circus rider tires of the affections of the author, and embraces a new lover, Barley becomes jealous, but his real punishment is doomed to descend upon him in quite a different fashion. His wile and son, reading the announcement of the pantomime, decide to attend. A fire breaks out, and the child is in a perilous position. He is eventually saved by his father by a daring act of bravery. How he discovers his infatuation for the circus rider was a passing phase, and wins again the love of his wife, is prettily told. The supporting items are ; “The Starring of Flora Finchurch,” comedy; “With the Help of the Eadies,” comedy; “Across the Great Divide,” drama ; “Trentino,” travel scenic ; “Topical Budget,” ; “The Perilous Chance,” drama ; “Don’t Jump at Conclusions,” comic.
