“SUCH A LITTLE QUEEN.”

TOWN HALE, MONDAY AND

TUESDAY.

The management of Fuller’s Pictures will afford the local public an opportunity of enjoying a special filmic treat on Monday and Tuesday next, when there will be screened a magnificent Famous Players production, starring the world’s favourite, Mary Pickford, supported by a company of specially selected stars, in “Such a Little Queen-” Mary Pickford’s many admirers view the approach of each new play of “the most beloved star of the screen” with a double interest. They look forward to a good story, and are anxious to know what new character “Little Mary” will create. In “Such a Little Queen” Miss Pickford has the role of Queen Anna Victoria of Herzgovina ; and her per r > •• i - ce is of that rare quality whicu we always expect from such a consummate artiste. Comedy and drama are alike to her ; she is as delightful in one as she is moving in the other. As the little queen, we see her in widely diverse circumstances —in prosperity and adversity. The romance concerns the lives of the Queen of Herzgovina and King Stephen of Bosnia. Her people are desirous that she will marry King Stephen, and so link the destinies of both nations ; but marriage without love is distasteful to the Queen, and she decides the union will never take place. A revolution is engineered by a cousin who is jealous of King Stephen ; this results in the King and Queen both having to fly their countries and seek refuge under a neutral flag. Vivid and passionate, and at/ times supremely humorous is the unfolding of the heroine’s exciting adventures and romance. Into it has gone the very best of Mary Pickford's wonderful creative talent. “Such a Little Queen” is such a beautifully enacted romance that it should not be missed on any account. This film is supplemented with a variety of interesting items.
