SOLDIER KILLED AT TRENTHAM.
Wellington, March 3
Private Thomas Wallace, of the E Company of the Tenth Reinforcements, fell off the train just as it drew into Trentham late last night. He was instantly killed. Before enlisting, he was employed by the Public Works Department at Arthur’s Pass. He was a single man, 25 years of age, and had relatives in Ahaura, Westland.
