MOUTOA PATRIOTIC SOCIETY.
A meeting of subscribers to the Moutoa Wounded Soldiers’ Fund was held last Monday. Mr W. J. Rees presided over a fair attendance. The bon. secretary (Mr J. Galland) submitted a report and balance-sheet for a period extending from September 23rd to February 28th. The receipts were £lOl 6s gd, made up of, men’s subscriptions x6s 6d, ladies’ subscriptions ,£l4 4s, children’s subscriptions £6 7s 3d, and donations 18s rod. The expenditure amounted to £73 17s, spent in buying material which has been made up into garments by the members of the Ladies’ Guild who have sent away three large cases. A slight alteration in the system of payments was adopted.
