INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
five deaths to date. Four notifications of new cases of infantile paralysis in the Wellington Public Health District were received yesterday. These include the two Foxton cases, one at Hawera and one at Gisborne. This brings the total number ot notifications for Wellington district up to 53, of which only two —and one of those an Auckland contact —have occurred in Wellington. In all there have been five deaths in this district —three in Gisborne, one in Pabiatua, and one in Wellington. Hastings, March i.
A'three-year-old son of Mr Cartwright was removed to .the Napier Hospital suffering from infantile paralysis.
