ENTERTAINMENTS.

FULLER’S PICTURES. An outstanding feature of the current programme at Fuller’s is a soul stirring drama by the Lubiu Company entitled, ‘‘When the Light Came In.” The death of Julia’s mother causes her to postpone her marriage to Tom, and entirely changes the course of her life. She goes into mourning, and resists Tom’s efforts to rouse her from her dolorous state. May is Julia’s friend ; she is blithe and carefree girl. She attracts Tom, and Julia sees the change, and when she sees that they love each other, renounces Tom, and wishes him and his new fiancee all happiness. What follows is pathetic and is sweetly unfolded until the final picture, “When the Light Came In.” The Broncho Co. present a stirring western drama in two parts in “The Girl From the East.” The balance of the programme consists of scenic, topical, dramatic and comic items. ; MONDAY AND TUESDAY. A picture of an exceptionally interesting nature will feature as the star attraction on Monday and Tuesday, viz., ‘‘Alone in London.” Nan, a country maiden, is loved by John Biddlecombe, a miller, but she is flattered by the attention of a polished scoundrel, Redcliffe, and marries him. Then comes her trials and she begins to see the true character of the man she has married. By a strange coincidence Nan meets John Biddlecombe, but here her husband appears and causes a fresh crop of of misery to Nan and Biddlecombe. The end of the drama is reached in a manner that gives a glow of satisfaction to the onlooker. The supporting items are of the usual high standard.
