INFANTILE PARALYSIS IN WELLINGTON.

DEATH OF ONE PATIENT. Wellington, Feb. xo. _ Two cases of intantile paralysis in Wellington have been reported to the health authorities. One child, who vvas admitted to the Wellington Hospital about a week ago, died there on Thursday last. It is stated that the patient vyas practically in a dying condition when admffted to the institution. It is understood that the deceased came to Wellington from the Auckland district some six or seven weeks ago. Another case now under private treatment has been reported this week. The Public Health Department’s staff is on the aleit in connection with the outbreak in Wellington, and a leaflet on the subject is to be issued shortly for the guidance of parents and others connected with the well being of children.
