Field M.P. reports that Cabinet decided this morning to set up a Commission immediately, consisting of the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout), Mr Cyrus Williams (engineer to the Lyttelton Harbour Board) and Mr W. M. Hannay (Manager late Manawatu Railway Co.), to report on the Foxton Harbour wharf purchase dispute and also the LevinFoxton - Greatford railway link and the extension of the Sandou tramway.
